  I brought my Bernina in to their store for basic maintenance due to the fact they advertise as being specialists in service of this brand. Once I got it home, the very first time I tried the machine it didn’t sound the same as before. I found that very concerning so I returned it for a second time. The same individual that serviced it immediately became slightly defensive. Once inside the machine, it was immediately noted that a belt was not in place and had to be re-serviced. This service person then told the woman in charge the belt must have slipped off once I got it home. (Remember that the machine never sounded the same once I had it home.) Deflection of the truth was not at all professional. As I was about to take the machine home the managing lady asked me if I would like them to try it out once again. Total competency would have been for the repair woman try the machine once again before ever returning the machine to me , and she had NOT. I found their repair department at the best average in the handling of the problem. These machines mean a lot to those of us who sew and risking average care for your machine is not worth potential damage to your machine.

  In November of 2017 I took my Janome 6600 in for service. I had used Common Thread in the past and was happy with their work. This is no longer the case. After 2 1/2 months and not much conmmunication I went to pick up my machine to take it else where. They could not find all the parts and I know I was not sent home with what I brought in. Very uphappy and will Never return.
