  Since I hadn't been to Howell's in years I decided to stop by and check it out. Wow... it has definitely changed and it's not for the good. What a HUGE disappointment! First of all they still have a big sign above the door that used to be the entrance when in reality they have moved next door. My first impression when I walked through the door proved to be correct. What a huge disorganized mess!!! The whole place is in dire need of some serious organization. A lot of the merchandise is not priced and definitely not buyer friendly. I remember when they were located downtown and they had such a better inventory. I think that they still have some of their old inventory for sale as I recognized some of it. With a lot work on their displays of the merchandise, deep cleaning and organization it good be a great store again. I wouldn't recommend going there in its current state. What a big disappointment!

  I always find what I need here...and more! :) Great to shop at a locally-owned, unique store. Not at all like a chain craft shop. I love finding hidden gems in all the shelves and boxes! If you remember Import Plaza from years ago in Downtown Portland, you will love this store.
