I went in looking for a hat. I've been looking for a quality hat shop since I moved back home to Oregon from the Midwest about a year ago. In Wisconsin I found a top notch hat shop where I became a loyal customer. I have spent hundreds of dollars on my extensive hat collection and I've been looking for a go-to shop where I can build a comparable relationship here. I thought perhaps I may have found that shop at this place. I could have never been so wrong. When I arrived, I felt like a ghost. I spent around 20- 30 minutes looking at hats, with a couple of designs I've been in search of. The whole time I was there, not one word was spoken to me. Not even a hello, welcome, or at best, may I help you. Maybe they didn't like the way I looked. I was even wearing my Stetson that day so I know I looked good! 90% of the reason most people are loyal to a shop owner is customer service. Especially when you buy something as personal as a quality hat. That's the first thing most people look at when they meet someone, so customer service is of the most important. Heck, half the time I go into a shop and they don't have what I'm looking for, I usually find something else I like and buy that while I have them order the one I went in there for in the first place. Great customer service sells 2 hats instead of one. A decent hat easily starts at a minimum of $100 and up from there. YOU do the math shop keeper. Well the bottom line is, since I was totally ignored by this establishment, I will return the favor and ignore them. Oh by the way, I found a quaint little shop in Oregon City where I bought one hat (on a whim) while I ordered one that I've been looking for.
