  Our vet recommended MeowSpace b/c we have multiple cats and have a very hard time making sure they all get their food (instead of just the most aggressive cat eating everybody's food). Before MeowSpace, we had to stand guard over their food plates for 10-15 minutes until everyone finished eating, all the while guarding the weaker cat's plate. We bought the least expensive MeowSpace, the one that comes with a magnetic collar (no scanner). We are very pleased with it. Even though it's been almost a year and our 14 year old cat still has not learned to go through the door himself, it is still helpful b/c he can push him through the door and he can eat in peace. He can exit on his own. Saves us time and worry. I think most cats could learn to enter themselves too, but our cat was so old when we introduced this and is completely deaf, so this is the best he can do The door makes a "click" sound when it unlocks, but our cat cannot hear that, and doesn't know when to push the door with his head. Our other 2 younger non-deaf cats could have probably figured out how to use the thing in a couple weeks. Also, the owners are super sweet and helpful. When our product arrived missing pieces, they drove out to my house same day and even assembled the MeowSpace for us. One of the perks of living in Portland, OR, where MeowSpace is based. We are very happy with this product. Hope this helps others!
