  RH has some pretty cool stuff. Their leather couches, for example, are awesome and the costs are what they are; you know what you’re getting into when you buy one. The quality of the items vary a bit, but on the whole are not too bad. What is not excusable, however, is their customer service. It’s a total joke and the level of incompetence is absolutely horrifying. I would rank it somewhere between a 3rd rate regional airline in the former USSR and Macy’s. Therefore, the issue comes down to the amount one spends on goods compared to the service received and this is why RH Portland gets a big ol’ 1 Star. Truthfully, most people can figure out the items for themselves so I would simply skip the folks in the Gallery and just buy directly online. Or better yet, skip RH all together and go to a local spot. I’m sure you can find pretty decent quality at high prices elsewhere. Just ask yourself this: If you're going to spend $3k,$5k,$10k,or $20k+, would you rather spend it and get great service or get dismal service?If you want dismal service, go ahead and shop at RH, but if you want a little quality help after you swipe that credit card—try somewhere else. You’ll be happy you did.
