  I went in yesterday for the first time. Wow. So cool. This is just the kind of very unique and eclectic store that reminds me how much I love Portland. In addition to a focused selection of quality instruments, they stock pedals and other guitar accessories, records from independent-labels (including their own), and some really awesome original artwork, t-shirts, buttons, pins, and more. Oh and the store is connected to a couple of recording studios, - I mean how cool is that?! I had a hard time leaving because although Volume Bomb is small, it has a high density of greatness and you can easily spend a lot of time exploring. To top it all off, the owner, Keith, is really friendly and knowledgable; he'll make you feel right at home. I encourage you to check it out.

  In search of an electric guitar, I stumbled upon Volume Bomb, to check out the Reverends. Keith was so friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to answer question after question (this went on for weeks). I checked around town, trying several guitars, visiting a lot of stores in Portland & Vancouver. But, nothing felt as genuine as VB. Keith totally understood my apprehension and even catered to my fear of playing in front of people. He set me up in their cool studio, leaving me alone with a few Reverends, that suited my style of playing and checked back to see if I had any questions. Bottom line, with Keith's help and patience, I found a guitar that I loved and I feel like I've made a new friend. Just went back tonight and picked up a Wolff amp, again, with the help of Keith's friendly and knowledgeable demo. Volume Bomb is a very unique music store, where the owners actually care about their customers.
