  My favorite market in Portland. Go to the meat counter and ask a question. You'll get a dissertation on meat if you want. Ask for a recommendation. They steer me toward the less expensive options all the time. Just incredibly helpful staff at this good. Good produce, fantastic meat, great bakery and deli. This store is not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. All the poor reviews over price is like giving a Porsche dealer bad reviews for the cars being too expensive. They cost what they cost. If you don't want great meat or deli food, go elsewhere and pay less. It's very easy to just not shop there if it's too expensive. But I don't get the point of a bad rating for it. It costs more because the food it better - it's that simple. And no I don't shop there for everything. Fred Meyer and other options are close enough. QFC is about 2 miles away up Barnes as well.

  Good food selection. Prepared foods a bit expensive. Most of the staff super friendly. My cashier however must have had a bad day as she never acknowledged me...Miss the one they had on SE Belmont
